On completion of this assessment, you are required to submit it to your Teacher/Assessor for marking. Where possible, submission and upload of all required assessment files should be via the TAFE NSW online learning platform. It is important that you keep a copy of all electronic and hardcopy assessments submitted to TAFE and complete the assessment declaration when submitting the assessment. |
What do I need to do to achieve a satisfactory result? |
To achieve a satisfactory result for this assessment you must answer all the questions correctly. If a resit is required to achieve a satisfactory result it will be conducted at an agreed time after a suitable revision period. |
What do I need to provide? |
TAFE NSW student account username and password. If they do not know their username and password, contact campus or service centre on 131601. Computer or other device with word processing software and internet access. |
What the Teacher/Assessor will provide |
Access to two simulated projects (and supporting documentation) for students who do not have access to two workplace projects. Access to examples of project schedules, reports, and feedback from project stakeholders regarding time management for students who do not have access to two workplace projects. |

Assessment feedback, review or appeals |
In accordance with the TAFE NSW policy Manage Assessment Appeals, all students have the right to appeal an assessment decision in relation to how the assessment was conducted and the outcome of the assessment. Appeals must be lodged within 14 working days of the formal notification of the result of the assessment. If you would like to request a review of your results or if you have any concerns about your results, contact your Teacher/Assessor or Head Teacher. If they are unavailable, contact the Student Administration Officer. Contact your Head Teacher/Assessor for the assessment appeals procedures at your college/campus. |
This document contains the instructions for the projects and what information the student needs to provide.
This assessment can be conducted in the workplace for two currently active projects or using the simulated projects located in the BSBPMG537_AE_Pro2of2_Appx_1SimulationPack. The student also has the option of using one workplace project and one simulated project.
Each workplace project must meet the following requirements:
appropriate workplace approvals to use the project in this assessment (any details that may impact confidentiality can be blanked out)
the project must be current (not previously completed) which the student is actively working through
the project must have a lifecycle greater than three months
the student must have access to the project team, and stakeholders
the project outcome and documentation align to the unit criteria
project documentation including quality criteria, evidence of quality monitoring and improvement practices.
Once all tasks have been completed, upload this document and any additional documents (such as the project schedule).
If the student is submitting video evidence, they must:
Provide a video recording for each participation clearly meeting all requirements.
Ensure they have access to the equipment and resources required to participate in each demonstration.
Address the questions or items listed in the observation checklist, either during the demonstration or record them in a separate video file.
For this assessment, the student will document a quality management plan, and implement quality control and assurance processed for two different projects using the appropriate project management tools and techniques.
For each project, the student will need to work through the tasks listed below to ensure and demonstrate effective quality management.
Task 1. Project procurement requirements and processes
Complete the relevant sections in BSBPMG537_AE_Pro2of2_Appx1_Simulation_Pack to provide detailed information about the Projects including:

Identify project objectives, needs and budget
the student’s role and who they will be working with
Task 2. Procurement Management Plan
For each of the two Projects, complete the Procurement Management Plan (BSBPMG537_AE_Pro2of2_Appx_2ProcumentManagementPlan) – you must complete three rows for each Project (six in total).
Task 3. Obtain information from Suppliers
Draft emails to four potential Suppliers (two for each Project):
Provide a brief description of the projects being undertaken
, including procurement requirements.
Request
information about
whether they can fulfill your procurement requirements.
Communicate to suppliers your selection processes and criteria.
Request approval from
Suppliers
for procurement processes to be used.

Task 4. Conduct Procurement Activities
Select a specific procurement requirement (for example, the External Creative Agency creating the multimedia presentation) and identify your specific legal requirements and agreed selection criteria for a Supplier.
Complete two Supplier meetings for two Suppliers for the same procurement requirement (i.e. for one Project only – such as two different Creative Agencies).
For the Supplier meetings, students should conduct a 5–10-minute meeting with one vendor from each project to:

During the meeting, the student will demonstrate the following communication skills:

The student will need to provide their stakeholder with BSBPMG537_AE_Pro2of2_Appx_3Stakeholder_script.
Using BSBPMG537_AE_Pro2of2_Appx_4POTemplate, complete a Purchase Order for the procured goods/services/works.
Task 5. Monitor Procurement
Draft an email to the preferred Supplier identified in Task 4:
Request a status update on the progress of the procurement.
Write an emailed response from the Supplier documenting the
progress of the
procurement, specifically
providing
detail
of
timeframes
. This email must
document
two challenges
to completion.
Monitor

eview the progress of the procurement against agreed conditions and timeframes.
Write
an email to the Project Manager reporting the procurement progress, including any
challenges,

documenting
agreed remediation actions
for the two challenges

Task 6. Finalise Procurement Procedures
Draft an email to your Project Manager, plus two other relevant stakeholders from the relevant Project group:
