Purpose 🎯

Writing a reflective letter to yourself encourages you to connect academic integrity, early childhood education theories, and professional values with your evolving identity as an educator. Through this task, you will develop skills in reflective thinking, academic writing, and articulating your professional philosophy.

Task Description ✏️

You will write a 600-word reflective letter to yourself. This letter should explore your personal and professional growth as you move through your early childhood education journey. You’re welcome to include images alongside your text if they help express your reflections visually.

To complete this task, you must:

Complete the Academic Integrity Training

Download the Certificate of Completion and save it as an image, and upload to Cadmus as proof of evidence

In your letter, include:

Why integrity matters in your academic life - when completing this course, assessments, or during placement.

Why integrity is essential in your professional life - as you step into the role of an early childhood educator.

Which theories and perspectives are shaping your evolving understanding of early childhood education.

How these theories influence your beliefs about the value of early education and its impact on children’s learning and development.

Use this letter as a space to be honest, thoughtful, and personal. It’s a reflection for you, about you. Please type your full name at the end of the letter as a form of digital pledge.
